Christmas is in the air! Let's hear those sleigh bells ringing, ding ding ding a ling ling; Come on , it's lovely weather for a sleighride together with you!

They were certainly doing that today! Here is a summary of the Christmas parade here in good 'ole Bluffton. Totally awesome! The Kisers let several of us park at their real estate office where we ate, fellowshiped and watched the parade. Thank you Kisers! More pix to come.

Hilton Head

I have been to Hilton Head several times since moving here, but never really took the time to explore unless you count last spring when I had a broken foot. I did some then, at least as much as my foot (it was in an air walker) would allow. I have found that Hilton Head really has some neat places to go and hang out, though there are a couple tours I plan to do in the near future.

Goin' for a walk?

Come on, Kaby. Let's go!

Aren't they cute?!?!!!!!! :)

AW.............................. Aren't these babies cute? Brotherly love for sure!

Belated Thankfulness

You know when you have had a day, not really bad. Pretty good, in fact, but a day where there has been an aggrevation or two, and all you feel like doing is gripe, gripe, gripe. Well, I did my share of that today in the car with a friend of mine to and from school, not as bad from school really because actually she made me feel better this morning. BUT... try as I might, I'm making all efforts to be as POSITIVE as possible, especially at this time of year with as much going on as there is and then some.

OK , why am I expressing belated thanks and what am I belatedly (if there is such a word!) thankful for? Here goes...

My apartment
My apartment managers who are flexible and who help me remember the importance of this
My elementary students and teaching colleagues who think of fun field trips
My sense of discipline
My intuition of when it's time to stop and just rest and relax for awhile
Getting things (no matter how small) done even if it IS on a Friday night
Of course ALL my friends and family (more on that later)
My faithful blog readers ( I have noticed that several people have visited. Please visit as often as you like)
The Bluffton Christmas Parade
Digital Cameras
Starbucks Coffee
My cats, Madison and Kaby
The list could go on and on
Oh, I forget... libraries and media specialists who are ALWAYS willing to assist!
Dinner invitations
My church choir (sorry guys :) )

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ......

There you have it,folks. Two well fed,....... well relaxed,......... and VERY pampered kitties. I tell ya, . . . . life is good, but it's worth it. Do they look comfortable or do they look comfortable ??

Even the cats are getting ready!

Well, I know you are dying to hear about the kitties since their last plight with the lizard, geico, whatever it was called. Life, I will say, has been rather good to them especially since I shared some of my smoked salmon with them tonight as well as buying them another package of Meow Mix kitty treats. Hey, how much better can life get for them ? Well here is another picture, not an Olan Mills portrait, but a picture still the same. The background consist of one of my living room chairs being coevered to ensure that it will stay nice. Since buying this furniture last spring that has been a goal-- to keep my furniture nice. So when it comes to the cats, they stay covered and when company comes, off go the sheets and away go the cats to another room.

By the way, I don't mind visitors as I visit other bloggers' sites. It's refreshing to do so as it helps me remember that none of us are alone in the young adult world. So share who you are by clicking on the comment link below. I know it maybe a hassel having to choose a user name as well as a password, but also worth it in the long run as some bloggers are making their sites private for various reasons. Too, I'm curious as to who is visiting. Really, I don't mind; visit as often as you like, just identify yourself.

Getting for Christmas

Well, you know it's here when you start bringing out the 'ole traditional colors.

I know; I need to get a life because I took a picture of a Mint Mocha Frappuccino (boy, that's a lot of letters for such a drink and hey my spelling was pretty accurate if I don't say so myself!) and a nice geometrically- curved jar of Christmas colored M&M's. But hey, you can't say that I'm not getting into the spirit! More to come as this really is the fun part of the year especially as an elementary school teacher: programs, field trips, christmas poems and songs ... oh my!

Thanksgiving Pictures

OK, here they are as promised. Enjoy ! Note the ones with my mother were during a rather entertaining Thanksgiving lunch enjoyed by all.

I was also able to get one picture (at least) of the beautiful foliage. The ride to and from Columbia was really pretty; however, I wasn't able to take any pix as I was the one driving and saw a pretty serious accident shortly after I got onto I- 95 heading back to Bluffton.

I guess that's all the pix for now as blogger doesn't seem to want me to upload anymore. But never fear, they will come later.

Friday, Nov 30... Sorry I've had lots to do this week. here are the other pix from last weekend.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving

Hi!

Happy, happy belated Thanksgiving. Hope all yours was wonderful. Mine was pretty lowkey, but hey we still had all the trimmings in addition to the turkey; so what can I say. I haven't downloaded my pix yet, but will do that when I get back to Bluffton. I did go and see little Lila Wednesday night; she is beautiful. Mom Leslie is doing well also. I have lots to be thankful for!

Lila Chambers Rose

Tonight angels are dancing! Who knows maybe they have been dancing all day! My college roommate, Leslie, had her baby this morning at 8:00am at East Cooper Medical Center. Lila entered this world weighing 8lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. Mom, Dad, and Baby Lila are doing fine. I spoke with the proud daddy and grandmom earlier tonight and all is well. Lila has already received lots of loves and kisses. Daddy forwarded a picture, she is beautiful! Can't wait to meet her in person. Welcome Lila. We are blessed!

Intercession, part one

Though I started my blog during this time, here are some pictures to summarize the first part of the three weeks. It was a great break, not to mention a great time of year to have it. Hopefully we can have this break again next year; we'll see. Since it's late and I need to get up tomorrow. I'm going to post this in parts. This is going into the first weekend.. I went to Coppell, Texas the weekend we got out and returned on Sunday, the day before our brek officially began. These are pictures of leaving Savannah on Sept 21, a very dreary Friday morning and returning on Sunday, September 23 a nice typical day in Savannah.
